FAQ

When are the Gates open?

Gates are open every year from May 14th to November 15th. IEP reserves the right to close gates at anytime to protect roads and properties for various reasons, so please check the website for gate closure messages and map before your travels.

When can I cut firewood?

Firewood season coincides with the gate opening and closure unless otherwise deemed necessary to shut down for fire danger or road protection in wet conditions. You are allowed up to  5 cords per year and no commercial cutting is allowed. Cutting is not allowed in active logging operations or log decks, unless special consent is given by IEP. Please read the rules and regulations for further details. Those suspect of commercial cutting will be banned from the property.

How long is my Annual permit good for?

Family and Individual permits are good for one calendar year ending December 31st. Purchases made for Annual Permits in December will be good for the next Calendar year.

Is Camping or Campfires Allowed?

Properties are day use only. Camping, campfires, fireworks or any such related activity is not allowed on IEP Property. Special Use Permits are available and require special permission issued by IEP directly. Please contact us for any questions regarding Special Use Permits.

Is shooting allowed on IEP property?

Although hunting is allowed on IEP property as long as state and federal laws are being followed, target shooting or practice is not allowed.

Why is there a 50" rule for UTV's and ATV's when the gates are closed?

This rule is in place to protect roads and property where full size vehicle access is limited or forbidden. All motorized vehicles must stay on established and maintain roads. This rule is in place by State and Federal Lands as well and is the Industry Standard. Anything larger than 50 inches is likely heavier and more apt to cause the same damage as a full size vehicle during the wet seasons.
